Location & Arrival

Friedrichshafen, the trade fair town on Lake Constance, is a county seat and the largest administrative, commercial and industrial centre in the region of Lake Constance - Upper Swabia. The modern town has only been in existence since 1811. Friedrichshafen became famous for being the birthplace of the zeppelin airship. The School Museum and the Zeppelin Museum are worth a visit. The latter offers the largest collection on aviation history and one of the most important art collections in the southwest German-Alpine region - dating from the late Middle Ages to the modern era. The hostel is near the eastern exit of the town, towards Lindau, at the "Rotachbrücke"  bridge, 100 m from Lake Constance.
